The Swarnavahini television channel was launched on the 16th of March 1997, with high-quality programming, reaching out to an extensive audience islandwide.

Vasantham TV (வசந்தம் தொலைக்காட்சி) is a broadcast television station in Battaramulla, Sri Lanka, providing Public broadcasting content. Also known as Wasanthan TV, Vanantham TV produces and airs content to provide information, education and entertainment based on credibility and trust with a view to enriching peoples lives.

From the time of beginning of the channel it has the coverage only to the Western Province. Afterwards it has expanded its coverage towards Jaffna and also has expanded the coverage through the South Asian tallest Kokkavil Transmitting Tower and it covered whole Northern Province. As the next step through the Madulseemai Transmitting Tower it has expanded its broadcasting to Uva Province, Badulla District and Eastern Province. Mr. Murugesu Kulendran is the present Channel head of Vasantham TV.

The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, the National Television Network was commissioned on 15th February 1982, expanded its studio and transmission facilities in 1986 and rehabilitated most of the original equipment using digital technology in 1998 under three grant aid projects from the Government of Japan. its studio complex is situated in Colombo the commercial capital of Sri Lanka.

Haritha TV is a Sri Lankan 4K Ultra HD entertainment channel currently broadcasting in Sri Lanka in the Sinhala language. The channel airs content mainly focusing about agriculture and also broadcast programmes based on folk arts, nature, heritage and local culture.

It is also regarded as Sri Lanka's first exclusive television channel to have been launched with the intention of promoting sustainable agriculture.

Shraddha TV (සුපහන් සිත) is a broadcast and internet television station in Kaduwela, Sri Lanka, providing Spiritual Educational shows.

Shakthi TV (Tamil: சக்தி தொலைக்காட்சி) is a Tamil-language television channel based in Colombo, Western Province. It is a sister channel of Sirasa TV. Live streaming can be viewed online.

ITN (Independent Television Network) is a television station in Wickramasinhapura, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka, providing General programs broadcasting in three languages; Sinhala, Tamil, and English.

The Independent Television Network – the 1st and oldest television station in Sri Lanka - is a government owned business, under a Competent Authority.

Swarga TV, are divisions of Rock foundation (Pvt) Ltd, which broadcast Christian TV programmes in local languages (Sinhala and Tamil) and English in Colombo and also in the North of Sri Lanka. Programmes are broadcasted 24 hours a day, on rotation, commencing at 6 am every morning.

A 24 hour line-up includes music, interviews, documentaries, preaching and teaching. These programmes are sourced internationally and also produced locally in English and in the local languages.
